DJ'ing isn't so hard. It takes a bit of practice and some KNOWLEDGE of music. Instead of practising 2 weeks, spend 2 hours learning about what makes the difference between noise and music, between repeating and building energy, between faking to look busy and shaping the atmosphere by tweaking the elements, between a dull set and a banger. Knowing that will make you a good DJ, not doing the drop like everybody else or doing the transition that is going viral. An actual DJ is a musician, and uses whatever available to create its own version.
Here are the DJ's that I respect without a doubt.
Marc Acardipane
Hardcore pioneer, the man who brought the thunder in Thunderdome.
LTJ
Bukem
Drum and bass pioneer. Bukem is the one who showed the world intelligent drum and bass.
DJ James Hype
DJ artist. On stage he is the show.
DJ Gabi
New talent. This Spanish girl knows how to do the tricks, live. Like a true DJ she creates tracks on the fly.
